Exercise this and You’ll Find Your Heart Becomes Strong!

Do you have an increased risk of heart disease? Now you don’t need to worry. You can cope with heavy exercise and just simply three times a week. Is this true? A study from the Harvard School of Public Health wrote in the American College of Sports Medicine that men who do vigorous exercise three times a week were found to have significantly lower risk of heart attack, compared with those of the same age who do not. The authors add that other important markers including hemoglobin A1c, apolipoprotein B and vitamin D. Hemoglobin A1C is monitored to assess long-term control of diabetes mellitus. Apolipoprotein B, also known as apoB or apoB is the main apolipoprotein of LDL (low-density lipoprotein or “bad cholesterol”). HDL-C, also known as high-density lipoprotein is what is often called good cholesterol. High HDL-C levels are generally associated with a lower risk of coronary artery disease.

The author, Andrea Chomistek, Sc.D. and his colleagues collected data on activity levels and biomarkers of adult males from the Health Professionals Follow-Up Study (HPFS). The participants were asked to complete questionnaires twice a year. They were asked to write about how long they spend each week in leisure time for physical activity. Included in the data that is needed is insulin sensitivity, cholesterol levels and inflammation markers.

Bear Bile Potentially Treat Heart Attack

A recent study funded by Action Medical Research, the Wellcome Trust, the Swiss National Science Foundation, and Imperial Comprehensive Biomedical Research Centre found a synthetic compound found in bear bile, can help the recovery of people suffering heart attacks.

This compound is ursodeoxycholic acid (UDCA). This compound is already used to reduce the production of cholesterol and dissolve gallstones.

In a study conducted at Imperial College, London found more benefit of UDCA, which in treating abnormal heart rhythms.

During this time, bear bile has been used in a variety of traditional medicine in China. But many people are criticizing because it considers how that is done pretty vicious.

Recent research has shown that UDCA can prevent abnormal heart rhythms or arrhythmias, either in person or have a history of heart attack. UDCA may alter the electrical properties of the myofibroblast cells, which exist in the fetus and patients who suffer a heart attack.
